12.04.2016Invitation to the network of stakeholders in relation to the establishment of a system for monitoring, evaluation and control of implementation of the National Strategy of Bulgaria for Roma integration

Addressed to all NGOs working for Roma integration

Dear colleagues,

A Network of stakeholders will be established in connection with the development and implementation of the system for monitoring, evaluation and control of the implementation of the National Strategy of Bulgaria for Roma Integration 2012-2020, and other interventions aimed at improving the situation of Roma in Bulgaria. Those stakeholders will submit data and information to the system and will also be users.

All organizations and institutions that are interested in participating in such a network can declare their wish by completing a short questionnaire at the following web address: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RNetwork.

The aim of the e-survey is to collect and provide the Secretariat of NCCEII initial information on the scope of the data that your organization collects and could potentially be used in the formation and calculation of indicators for monitoring the implementation of the National Strategy for Roma integration. Not necessarily the data that your organization collects, to be directly related to the National Strategy for Integration of Roma. It is sufficient that they are in one of the priority areas of the strategy, namely: education, health, housing, employment, rule of law and non-discrimination, culture and media.

Why is it important to participate?

One of the serious shortcomings of policies for Roma integration is the lack of a mechanism for real monitoring and evaluation of performed activities in which to participate nongovernmental organizations and civic groups. Let overcome this weakness by getting involved in that system: the more interested parties submit information, even if it is connected only to a particular community or a specific area, the more real will be monitoring and evaluation!

Exploring the possibilities of establishing a network of stakeholders to submit data to future monitoring system is implemented by the Consortium IIRA in performing a contract awarded by the Secretariat of NCCEII by the Administration Council of Ministers within the project 2014BG05M9OP001-3.2015.001 "Development and implementing a system for monitoring, evaluation and control of implementation of the National strategy of Bulgaria for Roma integration 2012-2020 "OP HRD 2014-2020,

IIRA consortium was created by four organizations - the Open Society Institute - Sofia Industry Watch Group, RiskMonitor and Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance "Amalipe."
