16.06.2016Exhibition of upside down portraits

On 14 June, 2016 in the "Crystal" garden in Sofia was opened the exhibition of the "Intelday" "Turn ideas."

The exhibition presents the participants in the scholarship program for Roma students in medical universities and colleges. It is dedicated to the future doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory technicians - people who achieve their dreams and goals, and are not afraid of success.

The portraits in the exhibition are turned upside down. "As the camera turns images upside down, so it is with the human eye - on the retina things are upside down, but our brain reverses them and puts them in the" right upside direction". In the same way prejudices are in our heads and change the way we perceive the world, explained  Intelday  Foundation to OFFNews.

Scholarship Program for Roma students in medical universities and colleges is the one of its kind in the region. It supports medical education of young Roma and is developed over some complementary components: scholarships for students in medical universities, mentoring of the students, advocacy training of the scholars and the mentors themselves, public presentation and visualization of the program.
