The National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings organized a roundtable about "Trafficking for labor exploitation: Prevention among vulnerable groups at risk" on 15th June 2016.
The event was officially opened by Mrs. Kameliya Dimitrova, secretary of the National Commission, and H. E. Tom van Oorschot, Ambassador of the Netherlands in Bulgaria. Experts, specialists and representatives from several institutions and NGOs took participation in the roundtable. Ivan Todorov, who is coordinating the "Community development" and "Labor migration in the Kingdom of the Netherlands" projects, attended the roundtable on behalf of Center "Amalipe".
The National Commission Combating Trafficking in Human Beings has started its annual prevention campaign against trafficking for labor exploitation. Different initiatives on national and local level are planned to be organized during the campaign. The aim of the campaign is to inform a wide circle of target groups for the risks of trafficking for labor exploitation. The citizens have to be acknowledged in advance about the policies and conditions about residence and labor in the countries they plan to migrate.
