16.09.2014New school year, new inspirations and bigger success were wished on the opening ceremonies of the new school year!

 

The school bell put the beginning of the school year in 170 schools participating in the educational program of the Center "Amalipe" - "Every student could be a winner". Traditionally, officials from government institutions and embassies visited some of the schools around the country to greet parents, students and teachers.

37 Primary School "Raina Knyaginya" in Sofia met the small first-graders, as well as the Deputy Minister of Education and Science prof. Nikolay Denkov, H.E. Ms.Vanessa Calvert - Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa in Bulgaria, Sarah Perrin and Karina Fortuny from the Trust for social achievement, Boni Bonev - Chairman of the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Teodora Krumova - Vice-President of the Centre "Amalipe".

Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States of America Bruce Berton officially opened the school year in "St. Kliment Ohridski"Primary school in the village of Tishevitsa, Vratsa District. The regional coordinator for northwest Bulgaria of Center "Amalipe" Yonka Danova made wishes for success and creative impulse.

Primary school "Vasil Levski" in the village of Vidrare started the new school year with a new principal, and students and their teachers were welcomed by Mrs. Spaska Petrova, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy and Momchil Baev, a representative of Centre "Amalipe".

Deputy British Ambassador to Bulgaria Sarah Riley and Deyan Kolev, Chairman of  Center "Amalipe" participated in the celebration for the beginning of the school year in "St. Cyril and Methodius" Primary school in the village of Chavdar, Sofia district. They wished students, parents and teachers "Good Luck" to new knowledge therefore dreams come true!

Greetings and wishes were made by the regional coordinators, project coordinators and moderators of Center "Amalipe" in schools across the country.

The "Decreasing the dropout of Roma children from school - Every student can be a Winner" Program is implemented by the Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance "Amalipe" in 170 schools across Bulgaria. The program is financed by the Trust for Social Achievement. It aims to prevent dropout of Roma children in compulsory schooling age. The activities are also intended to solve the problem of the large number of absences, lower grades in school, a relatively small percentage of Roma children continuing their education in secondary schools. The program is supported by the Trust for social achievement.
