HEARING “EU FUNDS FOR ROMA HEALTH INTEGRATION”

Organizers: The event will be organized by AMALIPE Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance (Bulgaria), Roma Center for Public Health Policies SASTIPEN (Romania) and European Roma Information Office with the support of Roma Health Project. It aims to raise the attention towards the health care as integral part of Roma integration policy and to discuss how the efforts for health integration could be supported via EU funds (ESF, ERDF and EAFRD), Norwegian FM / EEA FM and Swiss Contribution.

Description: To participate in the event will be invited:

- MEPs active in the debate on Roma;

- European Commission representatives responsible for running ESF, ERDF and EAFRD in Bulgaria Romania and Spain: from the respective units of DG EMPL, DG REDIO and DG AGRI; 

- Commission's officials who participate in the Commission Task Force on Roma;

- Roma NGOs from Bulgaria, Romania and Spain;

- representatives of the national focal points for the NRIS in Bulgaria, Romania and Spain;

- representatives of the Managing authorities of ESF, ERDF and EAFRD funded programs in the 3 countries;

- representatives of Norwegian FM and Swiss Contribution;

- European Roma NGOs.

The agenda will include presentation of good examples of Roma health integration projects / initiatives; presentation of the possibilities for supporting Roma health integration activities within the new planning period of EU funds, Norwegian FM and Swiss Contribution; suggestions to European Commission as well as to the national governments for establishing financial framework that facilitates Roma health integration\P
