Youth Network, created by Amalipe took over the management of key departments in the Ministry of Education during the Day of the student government May 9. Stefan Stanev - Student Ombudsman at Secondary school "Ivan Momchilov" Elena and Mitko Asenov from Aprilovo (Gorna Malina Municipality), a student at the Vocational School of Transport "MacGahan" - Sofia were deputy ministers of Education, responsible respectively for "School education" and "European funds". The young people are among the most active volunteers of Center Amalipe and organize various activities to overcome the anti-Roma stereotypes, increasing the motivation of young people for education and also often express positions on important issues of education, affecting all students, irrespective of ethnicity and social status.

Responsible positions were taken by two more students: Elizabeth Toeva from 81 School "Victor Hugo" - Sofia was Minister of Education and Science for one day, and Theodora Zlatanova from 31st SUCHEP "Ivan Vazov" in Sofia, who was Deputy Minister in charge of "Tartiar education".

Deputy Ministers Stanev and Asenov came into the ministry with an own program, which included 9 proposals, such as free textbooks for all students from 1 to 12 grades, free transport for secondary school students from villages they live to high schools where they study, installing video cameras in every school to ensure safety, modernizing the equipment of schools in small settlements, stop the closure of schools in rural areas, support for the joint education of children of different ethnic groups in the same classroom and others. These proposals they discussed first with their colleagues - Deputy ministers Dian Stamatov and Kiril Kiriakov, and then with Minister Kuneva. Elizabeth and Theodora also attended the meeting. They offered students with high performace at school- more than 5.50 to be free from state matriculation exam, because thus they will be motivated to learn more.

The meetings passed with much excitement and emotions. Stefan shared his experience as a Student Ombudsman at the school in which he studied and proposed the creation of such structures in each school as a form of protection of the rights of the students. The participants also discussues issues related to the conduct of matriculation examinations and their transparency , as well as duality education.

During the meeting, Mitko and Stefan also presented the campaign "# RomaAreEqual" with which the youth network of Center "Amalipe" reacted to the beating of young Mitko from Ovchepoltsi by urged Deputy Prime Minister Kuneva to join it. Minister of education and her whole team willingly did it, and stood behind the inscription "# RomaAreEqual, written by  the young people.
