In the frame of the initiative ‘Dignity for Lety’, EGAM launches an open letter addressed to the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, demanding the removal of a pig farm on the site of the former concentration camp at Lety and the restoration of the dignity for the victims, survivors and their descendants.
This letter has been signed by 82 Parliamentarians from National Parliaments and from the European Parliament, engaged in the Elie Wiesel Network of parliamentarians against genocide denial and for the prevention of genocides and mass atrocities.
You can read the article below, on the website and in The Times entitled "Pig farm ‘stain’ on Europe’s dignity" . Log in to The Times to read the letter to the editor, or find a PDF of the editorial here.
