More than 50 school principals, teachers, trainers, representatives of non-governmental organizations working in the field of education, as well as representatives of institutions participated in the National Conference "Interactive Groups for Digital Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups", which took place in "Bryasta" Hotel, near Veliko Tarnovo on October 14th.

The main purpose of the conference was to familiarize educators with an innovative classroom training method called "Interactive Groups"; and to present to the public the essence and results of the DigiUP project: Interactive Groups for Digital Inclusion through Intergenerational Dialogue. Pilot courses in partner countries to enhance the digital competencies of vulnerable groups such as Roma, migrants, refugees, etc. have been piloted within the project ... They proposed a new type of classroom arrangement and dialogue as well as participation of volunteers in the sessions.

During the conference Teodora Krumova, Project Coordinator for Bulgaria, presented the results of the project, emphasizing the increased motivation of the participants to learn after the completion of the digiUP pilot course, as well as the inclusion of representatives of the Roma ethnic group of different ages.

Participants in the conference were aware of the dialogical approach of learning and the roles in the classroom. Innovative in interactive group training is the introduction of volunteers into the classroom. Their role and importance was explained by the trainer in the digiUP pilot course, Daniela Hristova.

A number of participants and school principals shared that they would use the "interactive group" approach in future trainings and extracurricular activities at school.
