13.02.2018Ministry of education and science, schools and NGOs agreed on the principles of partnership

A working group of MES experts, representatives of NGOs and school and kindergarten principals united in the elaboration of a memorandum regulating the "principles of successful interaction and partnership between educational institutions and non-governmental organizations". This took place during a forum organized by the Ministry of Education and Science on January 30  in Sofia.

Following a call by the NGOs, MES to disseminate a letter or other document in which it clearly highlights the powers of the school and kindergarten principals to organize the transit regime, a joint document was drawn up.

The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Education Tanya Mihaylova. Moderator of the meeting was Deputy Minister of Education Denitsa Sacheva. She explained the reasons for the meeting and expressed her hope that such a document would set clear rules for the future collaboration of NGOs and school institutions. Deputy minister Sacheva also focused on good practices in this direction. Elena Yaneva and Stiliana Dimitrova, school principals confirmed the words of Ms. Sacheva. They highlighted the enormous benefits of working with Amalipe Center and National Network for Children and that since the schools have been working with these organizations, the percentage of dropouts in the education system has been much lower, pupils presentation at school have risen. Directors of kindergartens have not missed to commemorate the beneficial work with the Trust for Social Achievement and the benefits of working with other NGOs.

The workshop was attended by many directors of kindergartens and schools in the country and representatives of NGOs actively involved in the life and work of educational institutions. There were representatives of the National Network for Children, CEGA Foundation. - Start for Effective Civil Alternatives ", Citizen Participation Forum, Gender Education, Research and Technology Foundation, Savore Foundation, World Without Borders Association, etc. Amalipe Center was presented by Raycho Chaprazov, regional coordinator for South-West Bulgaria.

The document is expected to be sent to the heads of the Regional departments of education, non-governmental organizations, and the directors of schools and kindergartens.
