Projects / Young Voices for Social Inclusion of Romani Women

The project is a 20-month initiative and is supported by the European Commission within the Erasmus + Program. The consortium includes 4 organizations of 4 different countries – Spain, Greece, Romania and Bulgaria. All activities of the project pursue social inclusion of young Roma women and aims to improve their life conditions and achieve an impact on the life of the grassroots young Roma women that will be part of the project, as well as to exploit political recommendations enhancing their voices across Europe, as the main actors in their own social inclusion. Another important fact to contextualize the project is the realization of the II international Roma Women Congress on March 23th and 24th in Barcelona, Spain.

The objectives of the project are:

- Contribute to the increase of social inclusion of grassroots young Roma women in Europe, based on the creation of a space of egalitarian dialogue in which they are able to learn about best practices and to discuss how to overcome barriers.

- Promote the networking among young grassroots Roma women coming from the most diverse European neighbourhoods.

- Contribute to the improvement of public services actions aimed at Roma young women empowerment and promoting quality youth work.

- Increase of political incidence of the young Roma women through recommendations to key stakeholders;

Within the project more than 30 Roma women will be trained to be more active and motivated to learn and develop. A manifesto of Roma women will be developed and will be disseminated through partners'communication channels in order to reach policy and decision makers.
