Aims
- Improving Roma women’s socio-economic integration through adult education;
- Contributing to an improvement of the quality of adult learning by providing tailored information applicable to a very specific target group;
- Increasing Roma women’s participation in learning, as well as their chances on the labour market;
- Establishing a direct dialogue with the target group and at promoting social cohesion, active citizenship and personal fulfilment of the participating women.
How will we proceed?
Each partner country will create and implement an innovative and adapted training module at local level, in cooperation with a Local Learning Group (LLG) composed of approximately 20 Roma women. This group of women will be approached and engaged as key actors, involving them in the development, implementation and evaluation of the learning module.
The content of the learning module will be defined by the following outcomes:

An assessment of the competences and skills of the Local Learning Group;

The requirements of the employers in the service sector have for their employees;

The expectations, needs and requests of the women themselves.
Project beneficiaries
- Roma women;
- Associations, organisations and other entities working with Roma people;
- VET providers, teaching staff and no teaching staff, local organisations, associations, public authorities and NGOs sensible to the subject of Roma social and economic inclusion and access to education;
- Employers of service sector;
- Organisations working with disadvantage groups (immigrants, people with disabilities, etc.) who want to adapt the KEYROMA methodology in their internal processes.
Project outcomes
- Survey on Roma women state of the art on their abilities and social skills;
- Handbook on service sector labour market requirements concerning social and communication competences.
- Learning module to develop key competences in social skills for Roma women to increase their participation in the service sector.
