19.12.2011“Let’s clean around us”
The community moderators from the Center for Community Development – Byala Slatina initiated cleaning of the park which is situated in the Roma neighborhood of the town. “Let’s clean around us” operation was held on December 15 and was carried out by Roma children and youth as well as passers-by who joined with enthusiastically in the cleaning. They didn’t leave until the cleaning was completed. To conduct this campaign Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance \"Amalipe\" Veliko Tarnovo provided gloves, garbage- sacks, T-shirts and more.
The conducted cleaning will not be single in its kind. The idea of CCD-Byala Slatina is that this initiativerepeats in the spring of 2012 when the support of the Municipality of Byala Slatina for the entire reconstruction of the park will be required. The envisaged reconstruction of the park will be conducted with volunteers from CCD – Byala Slatina.
