29.12.2011The number of Roma labor mediators will increase
On its session on December 28, the Council of Ministers approved National Action Plan on Employment for 2012. It sets the priorities and main programs of the active labor market policy in Bulgaria for the next year. The Plan will be financed by the state budget with 73 mln BGN.
The suggestion of Center Amalipe for further extension of the National program “Activation of inactive people” that employs Roma labor mediators is included in the National Action Plan on Employment. In 2012 the existing Roma labor mediators will be re-employed and their salary will be increase with small amount. Thirty new Roma mediators will be employed. Thus the number of Roma labor mediators employed within National program “Activation of inactive people” will reach 100.
Another 100 people will be hired as labor moderators for work with unemployed Roma who are registered in the labor offices. This will be done with financing of Human Resources Development OP: in November the Monitoring Committee of HRD OP approved suggestion for this submitted by the Labor Agency and the representative of Roma NGOs Deyan Kolev.
