Informational tour on the ‘Let’s clean Bulgaria for one day’ campaign of bTV – Bulgaria started from the town of Pavlikeni. The initiative is part of the international campaign ‘Let’s do it world’.
Educational part of the campaign started in the town of Pavlikeni by initiative of the Center for Community Development Pavlikeni created by Center Amalipe under ‘Promoting participatory field work among traditional and marginalized Roma communities’ project.
Thus in the early afternoon of March 5, 2012 in the conference hall of the cultural center ‘Bratstvo’ in Pavlikeni was given the official start of the informational campaign on ‘Let’s clean Bulgaria for one day’. Special guests of the events were: Mr. Deyan Kolev – Chairman of Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance Amalipe, Prof. Pencho Penchev – Governor of Veliko Tarnovo district, Mr. Emanuil Manolov – Mayor of Pavlikeni. Meeting was attended specially by stars from the TV-format ‘The voice of Bulgaria’: Igor, Roxana and DJ Marten as well as by representatives of the local community and young people from the villages of Varbovka and Batak, Pavlikeni municipality.
Center Amalipe organized the event in partnership with the Municipality of Pavlikeni and bTV in order to promote among the community the key messages of the campaign: to take care of the places we live and to be responsible so that everyone to join the campaign announced to happen on May 12, 2012. In informal friendly talk the well-known from the TV-screens faces – Marten, Roxana and Igor invited all the citizens of Pavlikeni to join to the national cleaning campaign. At the end of the discussion a special surprise for all attending there was the special educational 3D bus of ‘Ecopack’. In the bus everyone can learn more about the separate garbage collection in a very funny and interactive way.
After Pavlikeni the informational tour is going to continue in cooperation with the Centers for Community Development in the towns of Etropole, Byala Slatina, Novi Pazar, Kameno and Peshtera.
The ambition of the Centers for Community Development is all together to make the places where we live cleaner, more green and nice for living. Main goal is to engage the residents of our communities to take responsibilities for all mentioned above, to learn that cleanliness around us is our personal responsibility and it depends on us how it will look the world around us.
