In the ceremonial hall of Sofia University ‘St. Kliment Ohridski’ on April 3, 2012, was held a public discussion on the priorities and the programs of Republic Bulgaria on the implementation of the Cohesion Policy of the European Union for the programming period 2014-2020. The event was attended by a wide range of socio-economic partners, NGO’s, academia, civil society and media. Center Amalipe was presented by its educational regional coordinator for Southwest Bulgaria – Mrs. Tsveta Antonova.

During the opening of the meeting the Minister for management of EU-funds, Minister Tomislav Donchev stressed that the main purpose of this discussion is to put a framework and to be identified the responsible authorities for the operational programs, which after that will program specific measures.

Minister Donchev underlined that there is a process of preparing a special Law on management of EU funds, which law to ensure that policies meet the needs. Explicit attention was paid to the possibilities of combining different types of investment and in the next programming period can be integrated into one program social, regional and cohesion funds. So we will have a greater level of concentration of funds to enable the operational programs to support the implementation of defined policies and priorities. The aim is the thematic goals of the National Program for Development 2020 to correspond with the operational programs.
