After analysis and evaluation of the received 38 requests for participation in the "Promoting social inclusion of young people in marginalized rural Roma communities" project, the following municipalities have been approved – Dolna banya, Kneja, Radnevo, Lyaskovec and Strazhitsa. There will be built Centres for Community Development.
Again we express our most sincere gratitude to applicants for their activity and demonstrated commitment to the problems mentioned in the project. Our main task is to promote center’s work and to receive government support to extend them at national level. At each center will be recruited two community moderators, who will be our representatives to work with local institutions and the Roma community.
In the month of April 2012 will be announced selection procedure for two local moderators. Community moderators will work to:
- strengthening the local Roma community
- raising awareness of community
- helping for increasing employment among young people from the community
- organizing community events - lectures, traditional celebrations and more.
In the month of May 2012 is going to be organized a training of representatives of municipalities, representatives of local Directorates "Labour Office", Directorates "Social Assistance" and other officials for working in multiethnic environment.
