On April 30 Euronews broadcasted “Reaching out to Europe’s Roma” video report of Seamus Kearney. It presents the challenges before Roma integration in Europe as well as good examples and successful initiatives. The report shows stories from Bulgaria and Spain.
In Bulgaria Seamus Kearney describes the efforts undertaken by Kavarna mayor Tzonko Tzonev and his administration to improve successfully the situation of the local Roma community. It shows also the work of Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance AMALIPE for fostering school attendance and moderating Roma community development in the tough region of Novi Pazar. The video report provides comprehensive picture of the significant results achieved by Community Development Center Amalipe in Novi Pazar.
