01.10.2012Center Amalipe organizes celebrations on the 26th of September- Day of European languages, in six districts in the country

 

Since 2010 September 26 has been dedicated to the celebration of European languages. Europe has real language diversity: there are 23 official languages ​​and more than 60 local communities who speak a regional or minority language. In 2010 the European Union and the Council of Europe implemented the initiation of the European Year of Languages in order to draw attention to this great linguistic diversity. Activities under the Project “To touch the untouchables: fighting traditional and new anti-Roma stereotypes" were included in the initiative. The project is funded by the European Commission under the" Basic human rights and active citizens” program. The project realization is ensured by the following teams: Regional Inspectorate of Education, Regional Health Inspectorate and the Regional Directorate "Social Assistance" in the towns of Vratsa, Pazardzhik, Burgas, Shumen, Veliko Tarnovo, Sofia District. Activities are primarily written and performed by students in different schools. The campaign tomorrow is expected to be attractive and extremely informative. T-shirts, balloons, in different forms, posters, containing information relating to the program are distributed.

In the town of Vratsa the campaign will be located on the square in front of "Office souvenirs" – at 5 p.m.

In the town of Oryahovo - the campaign will be located on the square in front of the city hall – at 5 p.m.

In the town of Kozloduy - the campaign will be located in front of "St. St. Cyril and Methodius” High school.

In the town of Romon - the campaign will be located in front of the “P.R. Slaveykov” Elementary school..

Students will also visit the institutions at district level.

Students in the towns of Peshtera and Pazardzhik will give information materials and will also visit the municipality buildings, Labor Bureau, Crisis Centre, waste disposal company. Balloons will fly at a certain time.

 Schools in the town of Shumen will focus on foreign language training, and the program activities will be media covered in the "Shumen fireworks“ newspaper. A slogan competition for the campaign: "Bulgaria and the world are changing, Be Aware" will be announced on the same day.

 Folklore costumes revue and songs, poetry and dancing will be performed by students from schools in Bourgas and the region in the Palace of Culture in the town of Bourgas.

Similar activities with a large number of young people will be held in Sofia city and the town of Veliko Tarnovo.
