02.11.2012Four training seminars in October – guarantee for a good quality of our work!
The fourth training seminar for the new school year was held from 26 to 28th of October in the “Lesoparka” complex. The participation of the mentor teachers was the difference between this seminar and the previous trainings. The task is going to be a hard one, because it will unite the work of many people. Mentor teachers have the responsibility to share their experience, to teach all colleagues, leading Roma classes, to work collaboratively with other teachers from their school, to explain them how to make cross-curricular and to teach them how to change the school environment so that it becomes more attractive to children. Theodora Krumova and Deyan Kolev activated teachers’ knowledge and experience and highlighted the practice of solving difficult cases. 
Center Amalipe put a lot of effort in the implementation of workshops by including guest speakers with knowledge and experience, who were familiar with the specifics of the school environment and the nature of people - parents from different ethnic communities.
The Prevention of Roma children drop out Program is implemented for the third year and now includes 180 schools with 85 mentors.
The educational team has the hard task to make a professional analysis of the input level for the year – number of schools, number of children, school programs, number of parent clubs, student parliament ... and all that have to reduce the percentage of dropouts among Roma children. The educational team should always, if necessary, give valuable advice!
