CEIDT Amalipe organizes International conference "Community development – the key to Roma integration," which is closing event of the project "Promotion of fieldwork in traditional and marginalized Roma community", co-funded by the European Commission under the DAPHNE program.

Main objectives of the conference are:

-        To display the main conclusions from the application of the innovative model, "Center for Community Development" in six municipalities in Bulgaria, one in Romania and one in Greece.

-        To outline the basic steps for institutionalization of the created within the project model at national and European level.

-        To support Bulgaria, Greece and Romania regarding new financial resources for the period 2014-2020, through public discussion of the need for community-based services in marginalized groups and the role of Centers for Community Development to fulfill the requirements of EU integration of Roma communities.

Participants:

• Valentina Simeonova, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy;
• Representatives of National Council for Cooperation on Ethnic and Integration Issues
• Social Assistance Agency and Social Assistance Regional Directorate ;
• Representatives of the partner organizations from Romania and Greece;
• Mayors / Deputy Mayors of the municipalities where Centers for Community Development are established;
• Representatives of local institutions of municipalities where Centers for Community Development are established; schools,"Child Protection" Departments, Social Assistant Directorate ​​and others.;
• Regional coordinators of  Center Amalipe’s educational program;
• CCD Community moderators in Bulgaria, Romania and Greece;
• Representatives of NGOs and others.

Guests of the conference will be ambassadors, representatives of the Presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ministers and Deputy Ministers.

The conference will be held on December 11, 2012 at the Princess Hotel, city of  Sofia at 10 a.m.
