Annualmeeting of the National Council for Cooperation on Ethnic and Integration Issues for reporting its work during 2012 was held on December 20 2012 in the Council of Ministers.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of NCCEI Mr. Tsvetan Tsvetanov. The annual report of NSSEIV was presented by Mrs. R. Ivanova, who focused on the adoption of the National Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria for Roma Integration 2012-2020 and district planning and development of action plans of municipalities for Roma integration.
Grigorova J., on behalf of Mr. Deyan Kolev – Chairman of CIEDT Amalipe emphasized the work of NGOs, members of NCCEII and the two most significant proposals regarding the programming of EU funds 2014 - 2020. The first is the definition of "preconditions" for eligibility of candidates for the next operational programs - elected municipal plan of action in accordance with the National Strategy for Roma integration. The second is the inclusion of a special priority in the OP Human Resources 2014-2020. - namely the integration of marginalized communities such as Roma, in which projects for the implementation of municipal plans for Roma integration will encompass and there will be opportunities for implementing the project in partnership with municipalities and NGOs.
Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Tsvetan Tsvetanov focused that the need for mutual efforts of the state and local governments, with NGOs and the business is prerequisite for achieving good results in the integration of ethnic minorities in Bulgaria.
