This is the main message of the Round Table "Educational integration of Roma today - a prerequisite for professional development and progress of Bulgaria tomorrow “, organized on the occasion of International Roma Day on April 8 by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Center for Interethnic Dialogue and tolerance "Amalipe." The roundtable will be held on April 8 (Monday) from 12.00 to 5.00 p.m. in the building of the Ministry of Education. Students and high school students of Roma origin, Roma teachers - Roma NGO representatives working on educational integration of the Roma community, representatives of Ministry of Education will take part in the round table.
Current challenges to school integration and improving the educational status of the Roma community will be discussed during the roundtable. Emphasis will be placed on best practices to support the education of Roma young people in secondary schools and universities as well as professional development of Roma finishing pedagogical faculties. Participants will share what education gives them and why they have decided to fight the stereotypes through good education.
The forum is under the patronage of the corresponding memberNikolai Miloshev - Minister of Education and Science.
The roundtable will be opened by the Minister of Education, Youth and Science - corresponding member Nikolai Miloshev , who will be followed by representatives of the Diplomatic Corps: Switzerland, Norway, USA and the President of CIEDT "Amalipe"- Deyan Kolev.
