 A fourth workshop on the "ROMAinEU"project - "Social and civic competences to work in the field of Roma integration" was held from April 10 to 12 in Seged – Hungary. It was attended by the project partners organizations: Instituto de Formación Integral - Spain, Roma women Association in Spain Amalipe Center in Bulgaria, the European educational and vocational Ltd. company in Germany; Romani CRISS-Centrul Romilorpentru Interventie Socialasi Studii in Romania DARTKE - Dél-Alföldi Regionális Társadalomtudományi Kutatási Egyesület in Hungary.

The main objective of the project is the development of social and civic competences, which will be available through the online training course on consultants, mediators, trainers, teachers working in the field of social and / or occupational integration of Roma.

Questions regarding piloting of the on-lineplatform for training, the creation of a manual for trainees and trainers were discussed on the meeting. The question if the release of such online training is successful, what will happen in the future have been asked.

The main modules, included in the online course for acquiring social and civic skills to work in the Roma community are:

History and culture of the Roma community in the countries - partners;

Motivation;

Communication;

Conflict management;

Decision-making;

Culture of tolerance;

Good Practices;

The meeting was to discuss the main activities and what we want to achieve with them:

·         Providing the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies for the group to contribute to intercultural dialogue, respect for diversity and education, social and labor integration of Roma.

·         Promote and enhance the socio-occupational and educational integration of Roma.

·         Realizing the importance of respecting the social and cultural differences.

The project is a two-year initiative funded by the European Commission under the "Leonardo da Vinci" Program - Transfer of Innovation, lasting from October 2011 to September 2013.
