  Children and parents of Kardam, municipality of Popovo were on "Green School" during spring break (30.03-04.02. 2013) within the project "Reducing Roma children drop out of school in Kardam" funded by the Trust for social alternative.

   In vacation place "Monastery", situated in the beautiful woodland near Lyaskovetz, the children spent three days in joy, games and a lot of new knowledge.

   "Green School" passed in the company of two teachers who worked with the children for four hours a day to fill the gaps in their various subjects. Seventh graders confirmed their knowledge and prepare for the external assessment test.

   Students from Veliko Tarnovo University were invited to conduct interviews with the children on the topics: "What is aggression?", "What tolerance means to me? '. Pupils were very happy with the students not only with their interesting and attractive Presentations but also because they served as a good example for young and ambitious people for whom education is a priority.

   Besides learning, fun and games, the children had spent time in nature. We have walked to the town of Ljaskovets and on our way back we went through the eco-trail in the area. Finally we were all very tired, but full of positive emotions and the magic of "forest spirit."

   At the end of the third day the change of the children was very palpable. At the end of our meeting, a lot of children shared their intentions where and what they want to learn, they were smiling and full of positive emotions and Last but not least - ready to absorb new knowledge.

  The meeting with Prof. Maria Baeva had a very positive affect on them. Using an unusual way with the help of art and dialogue she predisposed children to self-evaluation and assessment of the surrounding world.
