On June 26, 2013 in "Marno pole" park in Veliko Tarnovo, was held the final stage of the campaign "Drugs - there is another way", dedicated to the International Day against Drug Abuse.
At 20.00 o’clock, at the fountain in the park, students from Student health, K7 club part Amalipe Center and the Red Cross, in cooperation with experts from the RHI - Veliko Tarnovo and Youth Centre started with a kind of flash mob dance-information campaign. The flash mob was designed to show an alternative way to prevent the use of psychoactive substances. Volunteers from different youth clubs, working on health related programs in all aspects have always shared the idea that activities linked with dancing, singing, music, sports, etc. are a wonderful alternative of the risky behavior of young people.
All present and passing citizens received health - educational materials about drugs and alcohol use prevention, and participants in the organized quiz who gave a correct answer to the questions received prizes - computer game "Space drugpoliceman " (made by CINDI Program- Veliko Tarnovo area ), condoms and others. Young people introduced also a "walking" exhibition of posters and boards showing the damage on the human health that drug use causes and gave an opportunity to all who wish to draw their ideas and messages on the topic.
As a finale of the campaign dozens of candles were lit and volunteers sang the popular song of BTR - "Salvation" as an expression of sympathy to those affected by drugs and as a support to the fight against drugs.
Young people- volunteers of K7 Club - Veliko Tarnovo always been open to joint activities related to both healthcare and to improving the way of life of individuals and society as a whole.
