01.07.2013Joint work meeting of community moderators
From June 27th to 29th, 2013. in the town of Peshtera a meeting of community moderators was held, the meeting was organized by CIDT "Amalipe." Participants were moderators of eleven Center for Community Development, established by the Amalipe Center and NGOs supporting the activities of the Centres: NGO "World Without Borders" Stara Zagora, ZRS "Hayachi" - Novi Pazar , NGO "Faithful steward"- Burgas, NGO "New Road" city Hayredin and NGO "Sun for everyone"- Peshtera. The meeting was conducted within the project "Step Forward - empowering young people and women from the local community" and Project "Promoting social inclusion of young people in vulnerable rural communities. 
During the first day Yuksel Yasharov -city councilor in the municipality of Peshtera presented the topic "Housing policy" - Recent law changes and ways to resolve the housing problems of people from marginalized groups.
Later in the day was presented the film "Amalipe - the heart of the community" showing best practices from the Centers for Community Development
During the second day Deyan Kolev - Chairman of CIDT "Amalipe" explained to the participants the role of the centers and the local community in the process of strategic planning and implementation of the forthcoming development plans of municipalities for the period 2014 - 2020, in line with the National Strategy for Roma integration. Official guests who were present for the discussion were Deputy. Mayor of Peshtera Mr. Stefan Balabanov and Chairman of the Municipal Council of the town of Peshtera - Anastasia Mladenova . They addressed greetings to the participants and wished them success in their work.
The role of Roma women in the social processes and social development of the society, presented in the next session Theodora Krumova - Dep. Chairman of CIDT "Amalipe."
In the late afternoon Julia Grigorova introduced the topic of the role of CCD and local authorities in the process of strengthening cooperation between businesses, institutions and the local community in the process of engaging members of the Roma community in the local economy.
The participants visited 2 Roma neighborhoods in the town of Peshtera - Lukovitsa and Pirin. The main problem for there is the legalization of the houses as the citizens shared.
On the last day of the meeting were discussed the organization of future activities and joint planning between centers and specific work activities of centers together with local and state institutions.
