From 25 to 27 October 2013 in Lesoparka complex, Lyaskovetz, educational team of the Amalipe Centre held a workshop with principals of schools, working under the Reducing dropout of Roma children from school Program.
The meeting was initiated after received requests for consultation from 14 school principals from different regions of the country in relation to the claimed by the "America for Bulgaria" Foundation competition - "School of the Future".
School principals were consulted on the development of proposals for the competition of the "America for Bulgaria" Foundation for modernization of the school environment. The aims of the projects are to promote the use of modern educational methods and technologies to improve performance of students and teachers and to increase their motivation.
Ideas for clear definition of the objectives and activities of the project, as well as quantitative and qualitative indicators of expected outcomes were discussed during the workshop.
As the contribution of the “America for Bulgaria" Foundation should be no more than 75% of the total project cost, principals shared their difficulties in the acquisition of the remaining 25%. Ideas of the consultants to find sources for own financial contribution to the project was gratefully received by the directors.
The meeting was attended by school principals from Yambol, Tishevitsa, Berkovitza, Kaspichan, Nicola Kozlevo, Vurbitsa, Koynare, Bohot, Byala Slatina, Vidrare, Djuliunica and Pobeda. Consultations will continue via email by the end of the month, the deadline for submission of proposals.
