15.08.2015The Mission 'Together' continues ... Join to it!

In late July and early August, our campaign 'Together we are good at ... school, "supported by Vice President Mrs. Margarita Popova, continues to gain strength, fueled by the enthusiasm of students, teachers, parents and all who believe that if you smile and the world will smile back at you, that if you want to study in a better environment - make it,  that if you want to live in a better world - create it.

The campaign continued with Mission "Together", which was held on July 27 in School "GS Rakovski" - village of Golyamo novo, Targovishte District. At the height of summer the school gathered partners, associates, friends ... Dedicated to the cause were also representatives of: RIE - Targovishte (Mrs Darina Dimitrova - Head), Targovishte municipality (Mrs S. Besides visitors the school was attended by the entire local community - school staff, parents, students ... So many different people! Differences always unite when the goal is common! All had accepted the idea to make voluntary work for the benefit of the school for the benefit of the children of Golyamo novo. And the results of the collaboration were: painted school fence, renovated benches, placed birdhouses, preparing the terrain for the eco zone, mowed lawns, preparing to repair the room for the meetings of Student Parliament and the Parents club, cleaning and tidying the school library and school museum - under the leadership of relevant specialists. After the completion of planned work activities, guests and community representatives were invited to a conversation and a cup of coffee in the staff room. Contacts of the school with each partner over the last decade were  briefly presented- useful, durable, evolved into friendship ... And, of course, were identified future joint activities ... Children were surprises by Publishing ,,Enlightenment ", Youth House - Targovishte and the mayor of the village. Guests also left with gifts - A textbook on kindness.
By the time of separation all participants thought the same: mission was possible ... IF WE WERE TOGETHER!

Just two days later we headed back on the road to support the campaign school "Cyril and Methodius" in the village of Malorad because man is man when he is on the road. This time the challenge "Together" was accepted by the leader of "Panorama" Boyko Vassilev and Hristina Velcheva by the Programme for Roma students in medical universities and colleges - together we included in Tom Soyer initiative of the team of Malorad - a great team and a close community - representatives of local community, alumni, parents, students and teachers showed their solidarity and donated their volunteer work to create a more attractive environment! Even at 08:30 am the school yard gathered activists from the parent club and the Student Parliament, former and current students, teaching staff and Mr. Tseno Tsolovski - councilor. A little later we joined them, together with Boyko Vassilev and Hrisi.

Former and current students repainted the fence of the schoolyard, and parents cleaned vegetation and trenched flower alleys. The completing of sandbox and the new fence continued. Guests actively involved in repainting the benches in the schoolyard, and we all included in our European painting bench which glowed with European and Bulgarian symbols .. Finally we finished with a very sincere conversation about what we were, what we could become and what we could do to make the world around us a better one! We would like to thank to the whole team, to Boyko and Hrisi, that we were together in this adventure.

After Malorad the initiative "Together we are better in school ..." traveled across Bulgaria to continue at the school "St. Kliment Ohridski" town of Simeonovgrad, where on 4th and 5th of August students, parents, teachers and principal were painting together the gymnasium of the school.

At the same time, School "Hristo Smirnenski" - town of Koynare,Pleven District joined the campaign of Center "Amalipe" - "Together we can be better in school ..." and announced August 4th for the day in which everyone could express empathy and voluntary work in favor of the school institution. From dawn parents and teachers began cleaning the schoolyard. They mowed the lawns and the flowerbeds were prepared for planting different types of vegetation. H.E.Gyuru Katarina Vikor, Ambassador of Norway in Bulgaria and other representatives of the embassy, the mayor of Koynare - Danail Tonovski and the Regional Coordinator of Center Amalipe- Yonka Danova also joined the initiative.

By old Bulgarian tradition guests were welcomed with warm bread and honey., and with a bunch of geraniums for "Welcome!". Special musical greeting brought second-graders headed by Desislava Simeonova - the youngest teacher at the school. H.E. Gyuru Katarina Vikor examined with interest the renewed exposure of the ethnic room, opened as part of the activities under the "Every student could be a winner" Program.

In the conference hall, the guests had the opportunity to be acquainted with the achievements of the students, with commitments of parents, with numerous activities on projects funded by different programs and organizations. Mr. Tonovski proudly told about the development of the school in the past few years, which had given strong motivation to be the most preferred in the area, as well as the cooperation between local government and the school institution. It trained about 70% pupils of Roma ethnicity. Combined efforts of students, teachers and parents lead to excellence in the educational process and minimized absenteeism, as well as activation of the community. The school is part of the educational program of the Centre "Amalipe" and is one of the most - progressive in the field of intercultural education. Mrs Danova said about the realized activities under the project of Centre "Amalipe", and also about the newest form of engaging parents - Folk Orchestra.
Despite the scorching sun, guests were actively involved in cleaning the school yard and the dry grass and branches were collected in sacks. At the end of the visit on behalf of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway were served sweets to pupils and literature to the school library. In September, the school authority plans a campaign, which will actively involve the former and current students of the school.

Gradually, the campaign exceeded the schools involved in the program "Every student could be a winner" and in early August it was joined by the school "Vasil Levski" - village of Knijovnik, municipality of Haskovo. "All the teaching staff of the school "Vasil Levski", village of Knijovnik, headed by our principal Mr. Valentin Kraev, believe that positive thinking can change a person's life. Mr. Kraev have always encouraged us to be optimistic, because only optimists can enjoy life, to appreciate the true, the beautiful, the good ... If you think about, who are the only optimists - children. As educators we work with children, so we have to support them, encourage and mostly to be like them - to enjoy the beautiful butterfly flew over our head, to look forward to the unknown of tomorrow. All of us from school "Vasil Levski", village of Knijovnik are happy that we are part of the campaign "Together we are better." We are not idealists, and we know that one person (a school) can not change the world, but we are convinced that together we can make it more real and more beautiful! "- this was written by the team of school" Vasil Levski " - village of Knijovnik.

And we hope to become even more in numbers in the coming weeks. The campaign continues. Join yourselves!!!
