On 24 and 25 June 2016  at hotel 'Ramada Princess" in the town of Sofia was held a workshop on "Effective work in monitoring committees, guarantee for citizen participation and transparency".    The event is part of the "Platform" Project, which is successfully implemented by Center "Amalipe" in partnership with the "Open Society" Institute.

The meeting was attended by Rositza Yankova (Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria and former Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy), former Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy Krasimir Popov, Iva Taralezhkova (Forum Civic Participation, a member of MC OPGM) and Deyan Kolev (CIDT "Amalipe" member of MC OPSESG), NGOs and social partners involved in the Monitoring Committees of OPHRD, OPSESG, OPGM, OPRD and RDP. Welcomed the Chairman of Center "Amalipe" Deyan Kolev, opened the forum and made a preview of topics.

Participants had the opportunity to share their experiences for effective advocacy in Monitoring Committees, and then proceeded to discussion on various methods of advocacy.

During the meeting were discussed also key barriers to citizen participation in the implementation of operational programs. Luben Panov from BCNL presented regime of state aid and the ability of NGOs to develop economic activity in the form of entrepreneurship.

The event ended with a discussion on key issues such as "Strengthening the capacity of advocating", "Providing information on key obstacles to effective citizenship"; "Understanding the main causes and priorities of different groups of NGOs and social partners involved in the Monitoring Committees."
