The second transnational meeting within the Young Voices for social inclusion of Romani Women project was held in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria from 17 to 18th of January 2019. It was presented by representatives of all partner countries, included in the project.

During two days of hard work the partners from Spain, Greece, Romania and the hosts from Amalipe Center discussed the project activities so far and what it needs to be done to have a successful impact on the different types of stakeholders and the participants.

The partners decided the format of the Manifesto of Roma women, that should be disseminated and presented to policy makers to draw attention to their needs and for their voice to be heard.

The dissemination plan and the sustainability plan, developed to assure the long life of project impact were also presented during the meeting in Veliko Tarnovo.

The partners also had the opportunity to taste the delicious Bulgarian cousine, and to buy traditional souvenirs, which would bring them the memories of Bulgarian visit on their way home.

The meeting finished with setting the dates for the 3-rd transnational meeting to be held in June 2019 in Timisoara, Romania.

The project is a 20-month initiative and is supported by the European Commission within the Erasmus + Program. The consortium includes 4 organizations of 4 different countries – Spain, Greece, Romania and Bulgaria. All activities of the project pursue social inclusion of young Roma women and aims to improve their life conditions and achieve an impact on the life of the grassroots young Roma women that will be part of the project, as well as to exploit political recommendations enhancing their voices across Europe, as the main actors in their own social inclusion. Another important fact to contextualize the project is the realization of the II international Roma Women Congress on March 23th and 24th in Barcelona, Spain.
