23.03.2010Roma organizations will participate in the activities of parliamentary commission on European issues
Council for public consultations was established to the Commission on European Issues and Control of the European Funds. According to its rules of regulations “the Council is a form of partnership between the State authorities and the structures of civil society aimed to strengthen the transparency in the parliamentary monitoring and control process regarding the EU issues. It is established according to the efforts to better and efficient management of the EU funds” The Council will consult the Commission on European Issues regarding absorption of the EU funds. In the council participates so called “social partners” (trade unions and employers organizations), National association of Municipalities and NGOs with expertise on EU related issues – including those that participate in the Monitoring Committees of different Operational Programs.
Roma organizations will be involved in the committee’s activities through Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance “Amalipe” and association “Different and Equal” as well as through experts Maria Metodieva, Dimitar Dimitrov, Radostin Manev and Deyan Kolev.
The first working session of the Committee will be held on 6th of April, during which will be discussed different current problems regarding the implementation of the four Operational Programs and proposals for amendments, as well.
