20.03.2011ANTI-AIDS Campaign took place during Veliko Turnovo Day
The city holiday of Veliko Turnovo March 22nd - the beginning of the spring, which has always been related to the beginning of new life is intentionally called season of love that brings lots of emotions and expectations for the young people. Thousands of people participate in the annual street parade that runs through the whole city on that date and is prerequisite to meet many new people. We also relate the beginning of the spring to the love emotions and abreast with that we remind the young people to be responsible about their sexual and reproductive health. For that occasion thousands of condoms and information materials were distributed by volunteers of Center Amalipe's Club K7 during the street parade within the implementation in Veliko Turnovo of the Prevention and control of HIV / AIDS Program of the Ministry of health funded by the Global Fund to fight AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.
The enthusiastic volunteers handed with smile a condom and a brochure to the partying youths who were dancing around the passing truck-platform. As a tradition the parade finished with a grandiose house music party for those who were above the age of 18.
