Twenty labor mediators selected to participate in European training program for Roma mediators ROMED, ​​passed their second and last training from 25 to 27 October at the base of the MLSP in Kremikovtsi. Over the past six months between the two trainings they successfully performed their action plans, which developed together with the project trainers. Supposedly it was noted that the action plans have increased the efficiency in their work related to activation of inactive persons in the job search. Throughout this period Amalipe as a national contact organization overseeing the work of labor mediators and gave timely feedback to the Council of Europe.

During the first day of training was attended by representatives of the Directorates of Labour offices in several cities of the country, the Employment Agency and the National Council for Cooperation on Ethnic and Integration Issues.

For the training also arrived Mr. Javier Saez, a representative of the Assistant Team of the    Special Representative of Secretary-General on Roma issues.

Lubomir Lazarov presented the observations of Amalipe as a National Contact Point on the work of labor mediators during these six months, and summarizes the main problems they meet. Problems of mediators are mostly related to the very low salary, lack of PCs on their workplaces and lack of travel expenses to enable them to reach people in villages, where in fact are the biggest problems with unemployment. So far, the labor mediators are appointed under the "Activating inactive" program and their main concern is how long they can rely on that program and long they will keep their jobs. From the representative of Amalipe the labor mediators received assurance that according to the negotiations of Deyan Kolev with representatives of the Employment Agency, the program will continue to fund the salaries of labor mediators to 2013.
