18.11.2011Discussions oh Health initiated the moderators from the Centers for community development
On November 11-16 2011 the community moderators from the Centers for community development, created by Center for interethnic dialogue and tolerance Amalipe under “Promoting participatory field work at grass root level in marginalized and traditional Roma communities” Project initiated the implementation of discussions on the health issues, pointed as important from the community.
The moderators from Center for community development – Etropole in cooperation with the Regional Health Inspection - Sofia area District organized a discussion on “Prevention of women’s malignancy”. Lector was Dr. Konstantina Kirilova who by a very interesting and accessible way presented the information in front of the women audience.
In Byala Slatina on November 16 the moderators from the Center for community development there initiated a health discussion on “Communicable and infection diseases and ways to prevent them” The discussion was held in the building of the elementary school “Hristo Smirnenski” because its target group was children from 1.- 4. Grade and their parents. Lectors of the discussion were Dr. Hristo Gashevski (infection diseases specialist) and Mr. Nikolay Minchev from the Hygienic-Ecological Inspection – Byala Slatina. For the children audience there was a surprise: each child received a wafer. The only condition to open it was having their hands washed with soap and water. The event was also supported by “New Road” NGO – Hayredin which is the monitoring organization of CCD-Byala Slatina.
