In the Family Day - November 21, 2011 school children from the Second Primary School in Novi Pazar painted and discussed on the topic "Who is my Buditel?" (“buditel” in Bulgarian is a special word with the meaning of “spirit leader, person who make the people more sensitive to the public activities, leader of the nation”) The event was organized by the community moderators at the Center for Community Development in the town of Novi Pazar. 24 children, 1-4 graders took part in the interactive discussion.

Usually the day of the “National buditels” is celebrated on November 1 but that was no reason to discuss this again with the kids during the Family Day.

All the children received a sheet of paper and markers through which to express and to paint their own ideas about the leaders of the present and meanwhile about their families. The young artists were very enthusiastic and showed a great interest during the activity.  

At least for some of them as “buditel” were proved their family-members: mother, father, grandparents and relatives. Interesting moment was that there were children who painted as leaders the community moderators from the Center for Community Development in Novi Pazar.  While they were drawing the pupils were asking if there are going to be held other wonderful meetings like this. Almost all of the kids were amazed that Roma people from their communities in the face of the community moderators can organize such interesting event.

Finally all the kids received special presents: wafer, weekly programs and ruler, because they paid a lot of attention and showed diligence.
