Roma role models and the media image of Roma were the main topics of the round table “Roma positive” organized by the British Embassy in Prague and the Human Rights Commissioner of the Czech Republic on November 5. It brought together around 30 Roma activists and journalists all over Europe to discuss the future steps necessary for supporting successful Roma become role models, for linking Roma movement with Roma community and for changing the negative media image of the Roma.

The fourth training seminar for the new school year was held from 26 to 28th of October in the “Lesoparka” complex. From October the 26th to the 28th, 2012, Amalipe Center will host a workshop with teachers, who were selected to be Leader Teachers for the third year of the program Reducing The Drop-Out-Rate among The Roma children. The workshop will take place at Hotel Lesoparka in the town of Lyaskovets. The length of this program is for three years and it is funded by America for Bulgaria Foundation.
